9 June 2011 - Demand Forecasting R4.0 - Web training for resellers in the UK & Europe
We are pleased to announce the launch of web-based functional training for resellers of Demand Forecasting in the UK & Europe.
The training will be free of charge and will consist of two sessions commencing at 8am BST (9am CET) on the mornings of 28th & 30th June. The first session will last approximately 2.5 hours and the 2nd session 2 hours.
The training will cover all the major functionality of the module and enable attendees to understand and set up Demand Forecasting. It consists of instructor-led training during the sessions themselves, with hands-on exercises between the sessions where attendees will set up Demand Forecasting from scratch in a standard AX2009 demonstration company.
Attendees will be expected to have a good knowledge of Dynamics AX Inventory, Customers and Master Planning, as well as an understanding of how standard Dynamics AX uses the Forecast Sales table.
This training is for resellers only, so please don’t invite customers to the sessions.
Register for the training by emailing a.wojcik@adaptable.co.nz stating your name, company & title. We expect there to be significant interest in this first training course, so we will need to limit the numbers to 2 attendees per reseller. We are planning to repeat the training at least every 2 months, so don’t be too concerned if you can’t make this first training course.

1 March 2011 - Demand Forecasting for Dynamics AX - Release 4.0
We are pleased to announce that Release 4.0 of Demand Forecasting for Dynamics AX is now available.
Formerly known as Sales Forecasting for Dynamics AX, the module has been renamed Demand Forecasting for Dynamics AX with the inclusion of alternative demand sources in addition to sales demand. The term ‘demand’ replaces ‘sales’ throughout the module.
The new content includes:
- Multiple demand sources
- Collaborative forecasting
- User-defined forecasting periods
- Daily rate forecasting
- Budgeting
- OLAP Reporting
- Calendar control of forecasts transferred to Master Planning
- Multi-threading of all periodic functions
Other new functionality:
- Up to 5 years’ demand history
- Different display options for the graphs
- Sales unit of measure on the Item form

1 January 2011 - Complete Solutions DG merges with Adaptable Solutions
Adaptable Solutions offers one-stop shop for Microsoft Dynamics CRM, AX and SL.
Today, Complete Solutions DG Ltd. and Adaptable Solutions Ltd. announced a merger, and will begin trading as Adaptable Solutions Ltd. effective immediately.
This merger strengthens Adaptable Solution’s position as one of the leading Microsoft Dynamics partners in New Zealand, with its offering now encompassing Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Dynamics AX and Microsoft Dynamics SL solutions.
Existing staff numbers have almost doubled, with 10 CRM and ERP certified specialists joining the team – producing the most experienced Dynamics support team in New Zealand.
Managing Director and founder of Adaptable Solutions, Duncan Cox, believes the time is right to take full advantage of the growth in integrated CRM, ERP and cloud computing.
“Organisations are increasingly extending the use of ERP systems to include CRM. They want the power of Dynamics CRM from a single supplier. In consolidating the support and sale of Microsoft Dynamics AX and SL, and adding greater resources to the business, the merger allows us to take full advantage of the growth in integrated CRM,” says Duncan.
“Microsoft’s recent release of CRM Online also enables us to offer a cloud computing solution, a technology we expect to see emerge as a force in the ERP market in the near future.”
Lindsay Zwart, Microsoft Dynamics New Zealand Manager, says this merger is an exciting time for the industry.

Prior to merging, both organisations developed add-on modules for the Dynamics AX and SL products and marketed these internationally through the Microsoft Dynamics reseller channel. Combined as Adaptable Solutions, they have established resellers in more than 20 countries around the world.
The merger is being effected by the issue of 40% of the shares in Adaptable Solutions Ltd to Complete Solutions DG Ltd, which in turn is owned by Data Group Ltd and interests associated with John Biggs. The company directors will now include Duncan Cox as Managing Director, John Biggs as Director of Sales and Marketing, and Rollo Gillespie and Richard Carlyon as Directors.
Adaptable Solutions has expanded its head office in Auckland and will continue to operate from existing premises in Christchurch and Wellington.
